Within the walled city of Valletta

Valletta the capital of Malta is a 16th century walled city that was built by the Knights of St John. It may be Europe's smallest capitol city but this sophisticated micro metropolis boasts some of the most beautiful baroque architecture in Europe. Post-war trends saw many of Valletta's citizens move to more modern housing in other localities around the island,  thus reducing it's population to a mere 9000 inhabitants.

However, in the last decade or so there have been a handful of visionaries who possess both a passion and flair for Valletta's unique architecture. One of the prodigal's who has returned to Valletta to invest in and lovingly restore a historical dwelling back to it's former glory, is the Maltese London based owner of the Valletta G-House, Aldo Gatt.

The Valletta G-House is an elegant private town house nestled within the walls of Valletta and is a 10-minute walk from capital's waterfront. This 16th century home has been painstakingly restored with great attention to detail and comes fully equipped with all the latest modern conveniences, whilst still managing to retain its original character.

The first room you encounter is the sitting room which comes equipped with digital television and multi zone DVD player. Downstairs is the recently refurbished cellar-kitchen with traditional crossed stone arches, stone cupboards, large country kitchen sink, refrigerator and electric oven and hob. This well stocked kitchen comes with dishes and utensils and loads of bench space for you to prepare fresh meals.

A stone staircase leads you to the well appointed bedroom that is located on the first level. The bedroom comes complete with king size bed, sitting area, soft leather armchairs, original patterned floor tiles and a traditional Maltese enclosed balcony. Services include: free WiFi, transport to and from the airport and maid service.

If you are thinking of staying at the Valletta G-House then you will need to book early so to avoid disappointment. Please note the rentals are generally on a weekly basis and the prices include airport transfers and welcome basket.
