Swallow before you speak & use your inside voice!

One of the most frustrating things about being a mother is the repetitious sound of my own voice. As I bellow each day to the kids to 'eat your breakfast' or 'don't tease your sister' or 'chew with your mouth closed' 'or 'eat your broccoli' I can't help feeling that I'm trapped alongside Bill Murray in a scene from Groundhog Day.
The other day I unintentionally stumbled across this vintage find, from Barn Owl Primitives and I couldn't help but roar with laughter as I felt the years of frustration begin to melt away.
Needless to say I have one of these clever little signs arriving in the mail any minute now!

I'm ordering one today! Why do children have this effect on Mothers?
These all sound so familiar (both hearing them and speaking them)... and I'm now a nanna repeating them to grandkids... the more things change ... the more they stay the same
Oh I love this sign.
I need one too.
Actually, I know a few adults that could use some of these reminders ;)
Hahaha! I started reading and was going to comment with "my family's one would need 'elbows off the table'" and then it appeared!
Do you know of any other place to get one? It's no longer available on etsy.
thanks.
Hi Jill
I've just updated the post and have included the name and contact details of the person who makes these great signs!
LOL....It looks like something my mother would have wrote. I love it. Im just wondering would my kids actually read it.
