Half Moon Bay

I took Hoover down to Beaumaris this weekend so that she could spend some time with my aunt who also happens to be her godmother. Hoover was a little hesitant to start with as she doesn't get to see her aunt Carolina that often, but things quickly turned around once her great aunt suggested that we head down to Half Moon Bay for an ice cream.
Great niece and great aunt quickly began to bond as they trawled up and
down the beach looking for pipis, shells and sea jewels. Once back at
my aunt's house both godmother and goddaughter set out to turn their
sea treasures into a living memory.

It was for this very reason that I wanted my favourite aunt to be Hoover's godmother. This woman has endured all manner of loss and heartache over the decades, yet she still finds the time to nurture and care for those around her. Her depth of compassion and capacity to love selflessly is a testament to all those who encounter her.

That was a very touching blog post. I really love the beautiful picture of the water. Keep up the great work here.
Sounds like a lovely day!
I love the art that was created out of the sea treasures.
We have a Half Moon Bay here too in Northern California, my husband and I go down there a lot to eat on the beach (they have a great brewery/restaurant).
Have a great weekend.
