Fresh and New

I've just had the most wonderful break, as we were able to steal away to the cozy coastal suburb of Jan Juc for a week. It's amazing how quickly you're able to relax and unwind when you deliberately leave your peripheral gadgets behind, so much so that I even managed to set fire to the panettone toast last Sunday.

After a week of basking in the glorious sun and frolicking in the cool blue sea we slowly began to lose all sense of time and managed to reconnect once again as a family. Hence, I have since returned from our brief sojourn refreshed and inspired and bursting with enthusiasm and purpose.
I'm quite inspired about 2010, as I'll be working on some exciting personal and collaborative projects. I also look forward to the new decade with great anticipation, as I plan to pour my heart into and focus my attention toward some long forgotten plans that have been recently unearthed.
Most of all I look forward to continuing the journey with you all as we continue to share our collective stories about food, family, life and travel.

I'm excited about blogging and life in 2010 as well. I can't wait to read what you have in store for us!
I LOVE your burnt toast picture :-) and I'm so happy you had such a refreshing time of beauty, fun and reconnecting. :-) Happy New Year!
Welcome back, lovely.
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at home, for a change. Though I do wish I'd had some time without the gadgets... :)
I too, am excited about this coming year. Plans afoot for me, also, which involve a resignation letter.... :)

I am glad I am not the only one lighting fires in the kitchen. How wonderful that you have so many things to look forward to, I have been busy with house guests and children home from school, didn't even notice the new year come around.
LOL Sarah, good to know I'm not alone in my absent-mindedness!
