Pizza Meine Liebe

There are a lot of ugly reviews about Pizza Meine Liebe, but our experience has always been good and I suppose that is why we keep going back.
For starters it's child-friendly, which is always a bonus considering we have two young children. Hence, upon arrival both children are offered a piece of pizza dough to play with instead of the usual broken crayola crayons and tattered old colouring books.

This allows us to enjoy a drink or two while we wait for our pizza to arrive. And might I just add that the pizza is indeed worth waiting for. The bases are thin and crisp and the tomato sugo gets the thumbs up by Fussy, even though he systematically rips the fresh basil leaves from his mar-ger-ri-ta pizza.

Hoover being the culinary diva that she is ordered a calzone filled with meatballs and taleggio. I tell you that girl makes her mama proud! At the end of our meal the kid's pizza shapes are returned to them cooked to perfection. Yet another bonus, as they can have them later on for supper when we get home.

Can I please have the piece on the far side of the plate? It's got three prawns on it!!!! :)
Looks good to me...yum!
I love restaurants like these, homey and cheerful. Every Friday we go to a family Yemenite restaurant and often the owner comes over to chat with us, in his business he gets to meet everybody in town so he always has something interesting to say. Best thing for me- no cooking, no dishes and boys are never hungry when we leave there.
