Leftovers

Most weekdays I am out the door and running by 8.30am. I drop Hoover at kindergarten, Fussy at school and jump back in the car and go to gym. After spinning on a bike for an hour I normally whizz past the butcher, the baker and the greengrocer and then go back home to dump everything before I hop back into the car to collect Hoover at lunchtime.
On days like this when its go, go, go I am really grateful to open the fridge and find delicious leftovers from the previous night that I can have for lunch. Today my leftovers were Middle Eastern lamb pizza - perfect either hot or cold.

Lahm bel 3ageen!!! I love it...one of my favorite breakfast pizza's. In lebanon, it is customary after a long heavy night out drinking to pass by a pizza shop (hole in the walls off the highway open 24 hrs) and grab a pizza to soak it all up! I miss those days...this beautiful photo just revived all those memories :)
This looks fabulous! We had leftovers last night, too, and although tasty, nowhere near this beautiful.
LOL - the Maltese share a similar custom. Throughout the island you can also find similar holes in the walls called Pastizzeria's which sell traditional cheese or peas cakes called pastizzi which are great first thing in the morning with an espresso or before sunrise after a long night out drinking and dancing.
Looks amazing, we had leftovers tonight, however they didn't look this good :-(
Those are some mighty tasty looking leftovers!
I agree with you completely - on busy days, there is nothing better than discovering leftovers in the fridge.
Mmm golden pine nuts, I'm in love.
Thank you Kelly - it tasted even better than it looked!
